Cats have inspired photographers for centuries and they have a peculiar place in modern and Victorian art. The photographer Sabrina Boem is no different who could not stop herself from becoming a fan to our feline friends. She has spent years to capture these amazing creatures on various places.
The photographer popularly known as catographer started capturing stray cats photos after adopting her first 6 years ago and has been working on several projects involving cats since then. The recent one of hers is portrays the peculiar behavior of monorail cats- a phrase solely honored to kitten who love to hang out on railings, branches and narrow passes that makes them look like monorail trains. These cats from her series The THE INVISIBLES. THE SECRET WORLD OF COLONY CATS.
“I love cats in every situation and I find them so funny when they apply their cat logic to everyday life,” says Boem.
“I’ve met many monorail cats while photographing colony cats: they love sleeping perched on the most uncomfortable places.”
The catographer’s portfolio of black and white photos featuring a suave range of kitties show there is no small space that these cats cannot patrol on
as these round fluffy felines seen perched on tree stumps and stealthy cats that dart across thick fences.

“My cats Sissi and Ricky […] are true experts of walking on the tiny rail of the fence in our yard,” reveals Boem.
“They are truly amazing cats, only their little paws can walk steadily up there even when the rail is wet after the rain.
