Cat Walks 12 Miles Back Home After Her Family Gave Her Away To Be Rejected Again

Believe it or not a pet is always a part of our family when we adopt him. It does not happen to humans alone animals and birds see that even farther than us.  See what happened to this family from North Carolina that decided to give away their 7-year-old cat, Toby.

Toby, originally showed up at their home being a stray cat a long time ago, the owner noticed in February that Toby was finding it hard to get along with other cats. They thought probably the cat needs a new home. They gave it an other family residing 12 miles away. Toby, being weary and confused had not any clue that why his owner had sent him far away and walked back 12 miles just to be rejected again.

This time the owner had a bigger plan to send Toby away. “The family he thought had loved him took him to a shelter and asked staff to euthanize him,” said The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Wake County in a Facebook post. “The shelter called us at the SPCA to ask if we could take him in and help him find a new family. Of course, we said YES!”

As soon as the news was posted on social media, everyone became aware of him. It was when Michelle Puckett from Raleigh, North Carolina, saw the post too and left everything behind to go to the SPCA and meet this lovely cat. It became the new beginning in Toby’s life.

For Toby, April 13th proved the luckiest day when he got connected with his new family. “He has three new siblings (one feline and two human) and a cat-savvy mom to show him what a loving family is really like,” posted Wake County SPCA on their Facebook. We couldn’t be happier to hear that Toby is finally happy!
